Aref Kyyaly
Dr Aref Kyyaly is a lecturer of Biomedical Sciences at
Solent Southampton University since 2021. has PhD in Biochemistry from Cairo
University. Aref worked as a lecturer at Aleppo University for four years
before moving to the UK in 2014. He worked as a researcher and post-doctoral
fellow at University of Nottingham and University of Southampton between 2014
to 2021 before moving to Solent University. He is interested in genetics,
epigenetics and proteins as new disease biomarkers.

M. Huda Al-Midani, practitioner and researcher in business administration and non-profit organizations, governance and youth civic work in the Middle East and North Africa, holds a master’s degree in governance and human rights from the University of Liuvana in Germany, and a master’s in business administration from the University of Atonoma in Spain and the Higher Institute of Business Administration in Syria .

Basel Salahieh
Dr. Basel is a cofounder and chief technology officer at Vimmerse (USA) specialized in 3D immersive video experiences and extended reality. Basel worked as immersive media engineer and standards architect at Intel (USA). He holds a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer engineer and M.S. in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and B.S. in Communication Engineer from Aleppo University. His research interests include light fields, point clouds, virtual reality, and immersive media systems. Basel has more than 30 published paper and 16 patent besides his contributions to the MPEG-I standards.

Soubhi works as a Data Scientist at Microsoft Corporation (Seattle, USA) and holds a master’s degree in computer and electrical engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor’s degree in information engineering from the University of Aleppo. He previously worked for Shiseido as a computer vision and AI engineer.
His interests are related to computer vision and artificial intelligence, and he previously worked in the field of drones and mixed reality.

عملت رهف سابقًا كمديرة لقسم تكنولوجيا المعلومات في مستشفى التوليد وأمراض النساء الجامعي بحلب ومحاضرة بجامعة حلب لمواد الشبكات العصبونية ومعالجة الصورة والصوت.
تحمل رهف شهادة ماجستير في علوم الويب وشهادة بكالوريوس في الهندسة المعلوماتية من جامعة حلب.
الاهتمامات البحثية: التعلّم الآلي، التعلّم العميق، معالجة اللغات الطبيعية، الرؤية الحاسوبية، الذكاء الصنعي والحوسبة السحابية.
M. Rahaf is a cofounder and chief Executive officer at Fassih specialized in STEM content machine translation and formatting. Rahaf worked as Head of the Information Technology Department at Obstetrics & Gynecology University Hospital of Aleppo. She previously worked as a lecturer at Aleppo University for Neural Networks and image processing, etc. courses.
She holds an M.S. in web sciences and B.S. in Information Engineering from the University of Aleppo.
Her research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural language processing, computer vision, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud computing.
